In class today one of the teachers shared a website she uses with her elementary students - Starfall.com.

Very well constructed web site with lots of interaction, audio. Focus on reading. Defiantely worth a look if you teach elementary reading.

Well, I was finally able to get out for a day to hunt Wednesday.  Spent my morning hiking around Salt Springs hunting areas.  Parked near the little bridge by the creek and hiked south on the trail that meanders along the stream.  After about 3/4 mile I hiked up the mountain (I guess east) a bit and posted up in a couple locations, spending upwards of an hour in two of the locations.  Did manage to kick out a deer as I was moving back along the upper trail that comes out in the parking area in the middle of all those fields.  Then ate lunch and headed down to Tripp’s property in Dimock and after sitting for about two hours the sun was starting down and I started to head back through a field when I happened upon a doe so I froze and waited and out from the trees comes an 8-point buck that spent about 15 minutes eyeing me up and down, before I finally decided to take the shot.  Not a bad deer, but I don’t think it would win any awards.
